3M Aerosol Adhesives are a complete installation and surface treatment solution. Adhesive that does not leave marks, the option of multiple re-gluing, temperature resistance up to 930 C, the ability to join the most difficult materials, even polyethylene! They have a reputation for being a "powerful adhesive" that can bond anything, including styrofoam, veneer, vinyl and lightweight materials. Aerosols take up little space, no brushes, rollers or complex spraying systems are required to apply.
The full power of aerosol glue can be put into action at the touch of a finger. The spray angle is adjustable so you don't have to worry about wasting glue.
Instructions for use
1. Make sure the surfaces to be joined are dry and clean, free from dust and oily contamination.
2. Rotate the nozzle towards the mark on the neck of the can to select the correct direction of the spray.
3. Shake the can thoroughly for 5-10 seconds.
4. Hold the balloon at a distance of 15-20 cm from the surface. Apply even pressure to the spray head while applying the adhesive to the entire surface.
5. Connect the parts to be bonded at the moment of the greatest activity of the glue.
6. To prevent the spray from clogging, after the end of the work, turn the can upside down, spray the jet again until the propellant starts to come out, and then wipe the spray.
For strong permanent bonding:
Apply glue to both surfaces to be joined and let sit for at least 2 minutes before connecting them.
For temporary bonding and easy removal:
Apply a small amount of adhesive to only one of the surfaces to be bonded and let sit in the air for about one minute.
The recommended consumption rate for aerosol glue is 16 m2/can (500 ml) However, when gluing parts of a small area, it can be difficult to adhere to this rate in practice. In such cases, it is recommended to apply the adhesive at the rate of approximately 30 seconds of continuous application per square meter of surface (when applying adhesive on both surfaces - 30 seconds on one, 30 seconds on the other). When bonding polystyrene foam (styrofoam), the time from application to bonding should be approximately 10 minutes.
It should be remembered that all spray adhesives are flammable, and therefore all work should be carried out away from sources of fire or sparks.
